Bindozzino's olive oil
From a thousand olive trees grown with expertise and dedication in our land
Of the 60 acres of land we cultivate at our farm, our most important produce is the olive (mostly "olivastra" cultivar, typical of our area, but also "leccino" and "moraiolo" which are widely spread across Tuscany). The olivastra olive cultivar originates from the area of Mount Amiata. Cultivation of this olive tree variety is limited to the area of Grosseto and the municipalities of Castiglione d'Orcia and Montalcino in the southern part of the province of Siena. This cultivar is particularly resistant to freezing conditions and many of these plants survived the extreme cold wave of January 1985 which heavily struck olive groves in inland areas of Tuscany. Some of the biggest and oldest plants (with an estimated age of more than two centuries) surround the holiday cottage where our guests stay.
At our farm shop it is possible to buy really good extra virgin olive oil. The product is sold by the bottle or practical to carry one to five litre cans with reduced rates for guests staying at our holiday apartments. Free olive oil tasting is offered to the farm stay guests as well as to tourists who come to visit our farm. We also accept phone and email orders and delivery with express courier service can be arranged.
